SM City - Cebu

"We've got it all for you" can be heard playing especially as the store opens and closes. Indeed, this is what SM City Cebu in North Reclamation Area is all about. It is a mall owned by SM Prime Holdings and is one of the largest shopping malls in the Philippines. The four-level complex opened in November 1993 with hundreds of tenants catering mostly to low and middle class shoppers. This includes retailer shops, restaurants, drugstores, salons, banks, travel agencies, recreational and educational facilities, and stores offering mailing and delivery services. In November 2007, it unveiled its expansion wing, dubbed as the Northwing, which is a far cry from the old building. The much needed facelift is impressive. It is more elegant and spacious. The two- level Northwing targets the high- end market. From 107,049 square meters, the mall now covers  268,611 square meters, making it the 4th largest SM Supermall in the country and the 11th largest mall in the world.

SM Department Store

The Department Store right in the middle of the Southwing has everything a shopper would usually look for. There's the infants' and children's toys, clothes, and accessories, and stationery and supplies on the lower floor. The ground floor has the men's section, information, customer service and currency exchange counters, native products, personal care products including cosmetics and fragrances, cameras, and record albums. The ladies' section is located on the second floor. The shoes section can also be found on this floor. The third floor of the department store is dedicated to housewares.

Directories can be found near the escalators to guide the shoppers.

SM Foodcourt

The foodcourt can be found on the lower ground floor of the Southwing. It has a good number of food choices. Plus, those people who cannot seem to get enough of the Internet can benefit from the free wireless connection provided here. The place can get packed especially when there is an event, like celebrity guestings, held at The Event Centre, a stage in the middle of the food court.

SM City Cebu is where one can enjoy the IMAX theater technology outside Manila. It promises clearer picture quality brought about by a digital projector. The mall has 8 cinemas showing the latest films for the public's viewing pleasure.

Trade Hall

All technology- related things can be found in this area. A cluster of cellphone shops and computer stores  keep this space busy. Mac, Dell, Sony, Ericsson, Samsung, and LG are among the brands that have opened their doors to the public.

There are several Watsons stores inside SM City Cebu. There are two stores at the Southwing aside from the one inside the department store. Then there is another one at the Northwing. Watsons products range from medicines to toiletries and beauty products to general merchandise to food and beverages.

The Northwing is lined with restaurants and cafes on one side and retailer shops on the other. The middle is usually bare on ordinary days. But the space is often used for events like fashion shows and car shows.

The restaurants here serve Filipino to international dishes. However, there are no fastfood restaurants in this part of the mall. Al fresco dining is an option for customers.

Retailer shops here include Aldo, DC, Charles & Keith, Mango, Kipling, and Promod.

On Parking Spaces and other modes of transportation

For the convenience of customers, ample outdoor parking spaces are available. There's also the three- story covered parking area.

There are taxi bays in several mall entrances. But for the more adventurous ones, there's always the jeepney. There is a jeepney terminal near one of the mall's parking lots or one can go outside of the mall to find these jeepneys.
