Eastwood City is a one stop shop home for business, residential and commercial establishments located along Circumferential Road 5, also known as C-5 Road in the Libis area of Quezon City in the Philippines which is near to the vicinities of Ortigas, Makati, Marikina, Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA), Commonwealth Avenue and even NAIA International Airport. It is developed by Megaworld Corporation and was launched back in 1997.
There are a lot of ways to reach Eastwood City depending on one’s location. Below are the directions to follow.
Go along Commonwealth Avenue, one will see from afar the Quezon City Circle. Upon reaching Philcoa, take the U-Turn slot going to the University Avenue then turn right at C.P Garcia; then another right to Katipunan Avenue where Ateneo De Manila University and Miriam College are located. Take the flyover and underpass to E.Rodriguez Avenue. To reach Eastwood City, one may opt to take the first U-turn slot at Libis then turn right at Orchard Ave. or take the second U-turn slot fronting Dampa Restaurant then turn right at the Eastwood Ave.
Take the C5 Road then follow the main highway to E. Rodriguez Ave., then turn right at the Eastwood Ave.
Take Andrews Ave. (formerly Nichols) then cross the South Super Highway. After which, take the C5 Road then follow the main highway to E. Rodriguez Ave., then turn right at Eastwood Ave.
Go along Ortigas Ave. then pass through the EDSA, then turn left at E.Rodriguez Ave. Turn right at Eastwood Ave.
Free Shuttle buses are readily available to take the employees and travelers to their point of destination. The bus stop is located in front of the Epixtar House and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. It operates from Monday – Friday at 7:00am - 7:00pm; Saturday at 7:00am - 2:00pm while its Shuttle break time is from 10:00am - 11:00am and 2:30pm – 3:00pm. The interval waiting time of each bus will take only for 10 minutes.
Also, there are taxi bays along the area. One is in front of the Banco De Oro (BDO) Bank and the other one is located near the McDonalds fast food chain. Good thing about this taxi bay is that the guard list down in a small piece of paper the plate number and the taxi name of the cab in case something not good may occur with the driver; talking about the safety of the passengers.
There are a lot of tall buildings around the city that are homes to Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) companies, Call Center, IT industry, Retail business, Dining business and the likes including the Megaworld Corporation, Eastwood developer company.
Also the city has many residential buildings such as condominiums to choose from. The latest of which is The LeGrand Tower which is under construction at the moment.
Eastwood City Cyberpark has three (3) commercial malls, one is the Cybermall, the City Walk 1 and 2 and the other one is the newly-opened main mall, The Eastwood Mall.
Inside Cybermall, one will see that most of the shops there are local boutiques, business offices and food court while at the City Walk 1 and 2 are the favorite hangout for coffee lovers where most of the coffee shops are located.
Cybermall mall hours are from Monday to Sunday at 11:00am – 9:00pm and City Walk 1 and 2 are from Monday to Thursday at 12:00pm – 11:00pm and Friday to Sunday at 12:00pm – 12:00am. Also, there are available directory guides located at City Walk 1 and 2 in case one may get lost.
The Eastwood Mall opened last November with its Mediterranean style architecture that shows off excellent ambiance. It offers wide array of shopping selections from local brands to high-end designer brands. It also equipped with cinema experience where the newly-opened Ultra 7 cinema houses. It offers reclining twin seats for intimate movie experience that tickets are sold in pairs of PHP700 and it already comes with bottomless drinks and refillable popcorn. The Mall also houses with two other cinemas, the Eastwood Cinema 5 and 6.
The mall operates from Sunday to Thursday at 11:00am – 10:00pm and Friday to Saturday at 11:00am – 11:00pm. It also offers free parking spaces for customers for a minimum single receipt purchase of PHP500 from 11:30pm – 3:00pm from Monday to Friday.
If Hollywood has the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Philippines also have its own version, the Philippines Walk of Fame and it is situated at the grounds of Eastwood City where the names of the greatest movie icons in the Philippine Entertainment are permanently ingrained. This is a tribute to them for there exceptional contributions to the entertainment industry.
Also live entertainment featuring top artists, celebrity bazaars, fashion events and others are celebrated here. The venue of the events may take place at the grounds of Eastwood Mall or at the center stage. For schedule of events, look out for posters and announcements around the area.
Dining in Eastwood City offers wide selections from fastfood chains to local and international restaurants. At night, one can enjoy the night breeze and live entertainment where most of the restaurants offer drinks.
